A member of the American Nurses Association, the Connecticut Nurses Association (CNA) is a professional organization that started in 1904 and has since been committed to serving registered nurses in the state of Connecticut and the nursing profession entirely.
The vision for the organization is simple: The CNA is the magnet for Connecticut nurses – universally recognized as the force anticipating and creating the future nurses want and the public’s needs. As a member of this organization you are recognized to promote a higher level of public health by performing and encouraging a high standard of nursing. Through legislation, representation, education and communication, saving nurses money, program development, membership incentives, prevention, and scholarships the CAN strives to advocate for the nursing community of Connecticut.
